Marquise diamonds Make for Exciting, Innovative designs

Monday, October 27th, 2008

there are many reasons that the marquise-cut diamond has become a very popular choice in recent years.  By definition, the marquise is longer than it is wide, and when it is the focal point of a ring, it makes a woman’s hand look longer, and more slender and feminine.  The marquise shape is a natural for combining with pear-shape side stones.  Traditionally, the marquise diamond has been paired with baguettes, and this look is still beautiful today.  The three-diamond anniversary ring is especially innovative and exciting with three marquise diamonds.  This is also the case with all three-diamond jewelry — with earrings, bracelets, pendants and brooches.  In fact, earrings set with marquise diamonds — whether one, two or more — will enhance any face shape.

Cracker Jacks

Monday, October 27th, 2008

My nephew, having dated his girlfriend for many years, he decided to surprise her for her to become her bride.  While they were enjoying themselve one morning at a food festival my nephew went over and bought a couple of sodas, a bag of popcorn for himself,  and for his girlfriends, her favorite Cracker Jacks.

She was having so much fun at the festival she was like a little kid eating out the box and digging and turning her fingers all around the box searching for her prize all of a sudden , a big smile lit up her face she found the price.  She pulled out the prize from the box anxious to see what it was..  She was so surpriesed to see it was a beautiful diamond ring.   My nephew pulled her on one side and said , “well you marry?”.

I thought this one idea of propsal well be a fun one- make sure she likes Cracker Jacks other wise it wont be the same.

October is Opal gem month!

Monday, October 20th, 2008

If one gem deserves the prize for being most unique, it would be opal.  This is because of its amazing display of colors — reds, blues, greens and oranges — all within one stone.  Its stunning rainbow effect changes as you move the gem in your hands.  Opal is made of microscopic spheres of hydrated silica.  The arrangement of these spheres varies in size and patterns, making each cut opal as unique as a snowflake or fingerprint. Protect your opal from pressure and knocks, and never use harsh chemicals to clean your opal jewelry. Simply wipe your opal jewelry clean with a soft cloth or bring it in for a professional cleaning.   As the birthstone of October, opal stands for hope.  Opal is also the official anniversary gem for the 14th year of marriage. Wedding Proposal!

Monday, October 13th, 2008

One of the biggest moments in a person’s life is when they get engaged. Here is a proposal idea. Is she a pet lover?   If, she is how about getting her a puppy or her favorite pet (excluding the fish) and tie the ring around the new animal’s neck as a collar? If she already has a house full of furry friends, tie the ring around her favorite cat or dog’s neck. Now just make sure the four-legged friend doesn’t bite the ring off and swallow it!  This one is so much fun, keeps her smiling the whole time.
