Drive by Proposal!

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

My sister met her husband while driving to work on morning.  He was in a beautiful black hummer driving in the lane beside her.  My sister and him both happened to look over at each other at the same moment.  She said to herself, ” man this guy is handsome, ” and apparently he felt he same for her.  He pointed out to her to pull aside and he was asking her if they could met up for a quick coffee.  That was it they start to date after that, they both were excited about their relationship.  So one night after my sister was dating her husband for over two years she always thought maybe its time to think about having future together.  While this idea is crossing her mind one day she’s driving she sees this big black hummer that her husband had sold it, is chasing her , my sister turned and look he had this beautiful diamond ring waving to her and mouthed “will you marry me.”  Since then they been married for 25 years.

Keeping It Clean!

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Remember to bring your favorite jewelry pieces in for a professional checkup and cleaning before you start to clean them at home.  That way, we can be on the lookout for loose stones, worn mountings and other signs of wear.  To keep your jewels sparkle between periodic professional cleanings, your tolls are simple. You need a jar of jewelry cleaner or some diluted dish wash detergent ( a squirt in a half or quarter cup of warm water will do).  Soak your jewelry briefly and brush clean with a soft-bristle tooth brush.  Wipe dry with a lint-free towel. for pearls, simply wipe clean with a soft towel and avoid all detergents.  for any jewelry, when in doubt, it’s best to bring it in or call 888-777-8066 if you have any questions.

Just Like a Little Boy!

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

My mother treaded my brother with a great deal of love and attention. I remember he would come home from work he would take off his clothes and throw them in the laundry hamper without taking anything out of his pockets. My poor mother always would be so careful just to make sure that there were nothing in his pockets before she did the laundry, but of course there was always something, like pocket changes, business cards, crumbled cash ( not very much) but enough to make my mom go crazy. One day my mom got mad at him and said, ” You know my son, I can do this for you for so long, but if you get married I don’t think your wife would appreciate what I’m doing for you.” My brother hugged and kissed her.

Sunday afternoon my mom would do the laundry, she noticed again when she picked up my brothers pants and felt the weight of the usual odds and ends he had the habit of collecting. My mom was in the mood of forgiving him that day , after all it was her birthday and she new that my brother would take care out for a nice dinner. As she was emptying his pockets she noticed a long box  it was wrapped with a beautiful gold color paper and attached with a note and it said, “Mom, you are the best and I love you forever, Happy Birthday! from Jack. She opened the box there it was a beautiful 14k white gold diamond  bracelets. As she walked over to give my brother a thank you kiss, she said, “Honey, I love you too, and I think I can even put up with emptying your kids pants pockets for as long as I live.”

Jewelry: keep It Organized!

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Have you ever left the house with an incomplete outfit because you couldn’t find the earrings you wanted to wear?  or the neck chain you had in mind was tangled - and you didn’t have the time to deal with it?  make the time to organize. Spread your jewelry out on a clear surface, like your kitchen table.  Check to make certain that all clasps are secure and theat no stones are loose.  Consider a classic jewelry box. Or plastic storage units or organizers.  Take care to store items separately, with no stones scratching other stones or metal.  Once you’ve put everything in order, you’ll be able to truly enjoy your fine jewelry! Cooling Her Feet In the Water!

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Everyday for lunch my mom would take off her shoes and cool off her feet in this waterfall that was across the way from her office in a park. So, my father asked one day to take her out for lunch- she was so excited to meet with him, so she asked him “where are you taking me to have lunch?” He said “the usual place where you have your lunch at the park by the waterfall”. She was really happy seeing him with a lunch basket full of fruits and sandwich wrapped in foil paper. They went by the waterfall she took off her shoes soaked her feet in the water and pulled her feet out and started to dig in the lunch basket, BOY was she surprised- she saw a beautiful jewelry box she opened the box a beautiful diamond necklace and on the it said “I LOVE YOU honey HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ” My mom jumped on my father and gave him a big kiss and said “I LOVE YOU FOR EVER AND EVER”.
