Men’s Fine Jewelry Has Become Very Popular.

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Men’s fine jewelry has become very popular with men because of its affordability, and versatility. And of course the media has a lot of impact on their style choice as a lot of male celebrities are wearing white gold bracelets and even white gold diamond rings. Of course this has become more common for the younger men and the hip men as well.
And the final reason why fine jewelry has become so common with men is its availability because it’s known that they don’t like to shop for a long period of time. A lot of fine jewelry is offered online, which makes it easier for them to shop.

Is Your Jewerly Insured?

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Is your fine jewelry fully covered by your home owner’s or renter’s insurance policy? I ask this question to all my customers. The answer is almost always no. Unless you’ve purchased additional coverage on your home owner’s insurance policy you don’t have no way of recovering your lose in case of any thieft. So, it is best to check with your insurance agent and see if you are covered for your jewelry. Always request to get an appraisal on your purchase from your jeweler so you can insure your jewelry in the right amount, it could be that you bought it a deal, but still the jeweler must give you the actual value of the piece that you have purchased. Most home owner’s insurance policy will insure your jewelry against most kinds of losses.

Monday, April 21st, 2008

This is the karat system, pure gold is expressed as “24 karats fine” (24K). (Pure gold in commercial practice is 99.95 to fine, but is technically considered 100%.) Even pure gold is not perfect, isn’t that interesting? The gold content of any gold article depends on the proportion of pure gold it contains. The most popular types that are used in jewelry in the United States are:

24 K 100% Gold (99.95 %)
18 K  75% Gold
14 K  58.33% Gold
10 K  41.67% Gold

Blessing Your Wedding Ring

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

If you have a small wedding, you may ask your wedding guests to bless your wedding bands, or to imbue them with positive energy and love. Hand them to someone in the front row at the church,  and ask for them to be passed around until they come back to the front. It’s best if this can happen during a musical interlude. Having more than 50 guests? You may just want to just ask a few select people to hold the rings and bless them, as passing them around the room will take too much time, and you’ll run the risk of losing them.
