What causes my gold jewelry to turn my skin black and how can I eliminate or minimized this problem?
The problem is not from the gold in the jewelry but from the corrosion of the metals that are used to color and increase the strength of the gold and those are silver, copper and nickel metals. There is no way out if your body reacts to these metal mixes, then the chances are your skin will turn black. However, if you can find jewelry that is 22 karat vs. 18 karat or lower your chances are less for your skin to turn black.

In our first twenty Eight years of designing diamond rings, we had only owned very a few colored diamonds, two of which were certificated as natural. Now that treated stones are available, we intend to make full use of their natural beauty in our rings. Even enhance (treated) blue diamonds are not easy to find, but our stock selection will always be very extensive we will upload the items on our website with new designs soon. Natural blue diamonds remain so rare, that we don’t bother trying to find any! Any comments we make about blue diamonds will relate to treated ones unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
