Taking on Tarnish

Rhodium plating is used to coat sterling silver thus preventing it from tarnishing; moreover, it is an anti-oxidant which  prolongs the tarnishing process. In my opinion all silver jewerly pieces should have rhodium finish, so it can give a gleaming appearance which virtually eliminates tarnishing.

In fact, it is safe to say that the turn to rhodium plating is a global trend. Rhodium-plated silver has long been accepted in Japan and is becoming increasingly common in Italy. It seems logical for it to catch on in America, too. Our sterling silver is plated in rhodium and it’s got a radiant look!
